@mdione Bark beetles are pretty neat! (I mean, so are ants, too, though.) I couldn't tell you the specific species from the tracks, but indubitably bark beetles.

Here's a little fly (maybe 𝘏𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘢 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘢) from today's hike on the Wiley Trails. A female, judging by the eyes-- they're well separated, whereas a male's would nearly meet at the top of the head.The second picture is of the little patch if coltsfoot (𝘛𝘶𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘭𝘢𝘨𝘰 𝘧𝘢𝘳𝘧𝘢𝘳𝘢) she was on-- she's on the upper left flower in the picture, and you can see how tiny she is.
