I'm intrigued by how, as a teen, I happened to make a lifelong commitment to #learning...during what turned out to be the greatest window of opportunity, in all known spacetime, for an organism to make such a commitment. Leveraging the tools of the human Information Age.And I can see how this window has almost surely begun closing due to disinformation and slop. So then: why me, why now—? Apparently I was right on time for the peak of my own capacity to align with the peak of reliable, accessible information. The coincidence is very curious.The general setting of my life, improbably, has turned out to be the best known fit for anyone with a lifelong learning commitment. From a historical or even cosmic perspective. Existence as a literate human, in a Western nation, reaching adulthood around the advent of the 21st century.At times when I'm feeling imaginative, I even think about whether I may have purposely somehow picked the current era, species, and planet for my birth. The era, species, and planet here just seem suspiciously convenient for me personally.
