It's not just calls and texts, your carrier can see which categories of apps you use, when you use them, and route that traffic however they want. Most people have no idea how much their mobile provider knows about them beyond their phone calls.

@c0debabe I'd say @Vivaldi deserves to be on this list as a browser alternative. Yes, it's chromium-based, but it comes with a built-in tracker/ad-blocker and is explicitly, vocally anti-cryptocurrency and LLM. Also active & supportive of the fediverse, hosting their own community server.They get some income through on-by-default affiliate links as favorites, but they're clearly labeled and easily disabled.
