    So, .gov.uk wants to roll out the UK's new National Parking Platform app nationwide and I think it's worth asking some hard questions before we all forced to download it.What I want to know:- Will it be open source? Transparency matters for public infrastructure. - Will user data be shared with or dependent on the likes of Google, Apple, Meta, X, or other third parties? - Who actually owns the data and where will it be stored?- If you opt out completely what alternatives exist?Privacy shouldn't be the price of participation in modern life. Not everyone wants to register with US Big Tech just to park their car. I think this is a valid choice.If this becomes mandatory infrastructure, the public deserves answers before rollout, not after.
