Even with my current low mood and lack of any motivation at all, I am still practicing trumpet. I have been focusing on an embouchure adjustment. I need to get it working for low notes. And then there are a couple of lines in the etude I'm working on that are hard to play musically.

I also played bassoon for the first time in forever. I'm in no shape to play Milde but I'm starting with #1 anyway.

@DuchessOfSnork do trumpet players do a similar manoeuvre to French Horn players, where you drop your jaw slightly to access the lower register?

On F Horn I drop my jaw progressively from middle C to low G and more into low C. Almost as if you were saying “eee” into “aww”.

@ambientspace I think so, but I haven't figured out how exactly to do it in practice
