    @fil I can feel that pain since I am also experiencing it by learning JavaScript by my self!

    I learnt the trumpet in high school,

    What inspires you to learn a trumpet? do you know any other wind instrument?
    How do you learn, youtube videos?

    @ethan256 I've learned a recorder when I was 8 and since then played a bunch of other instruments, but then I remembered that I always wanted to play a trumpet. I think I was listening to "The Westerlies", when I finally went and ordered one.
    Learning mostly from youtube and lots of practice and experimentation.

      @ethan256 I don't know if you meant professionally or just any trumpet player, but I play trumpet in a community band, a community orchestra, and a group that does a couple of local parades a year. Plus mellophone in a group that does the regional Pride parade.

      I also compose and arrange band music as a hobby; if all goes well my community band will be debuting one of my original pieces later this year!

      My weapon of choice:

        @Turq
        In the pic, I think its a pocket trumpet if not mistaken... I'd never met one, but having been reading about different instruments!

        I play both trumpet and cornet, though I am open to learning more wind instruments

        Happy to hear that you are involving with Bands!

        I am trying to build one. Its called the Green Brass Band, its also on Mastodon as @greenBand

        I would like to hear your thoughts on this:

        What advice would you give someone trying to start and grow a brass band from scratch?
