Attempts to compare our postal system with France, Germany or the UK rest on a false geographic premise. Countries with large land masses (Australia and Canada) have public postal services.Acknowledge that the USPS is a public good requiring public funding, just as we fund rural highways. Rationalize the post office network where genuine duplication exists in urban and suburban areas. Halt the DeJoy-era consolidation that routes local mail through regional hubs, creating delays and additional costs.
