I haven’t found one other than @gijslevelt@ethan256 @gijslevelt I was once a French horn player and have a trumpet I really want to start playing again if that counts

Most musicians are still on FB which is a shame -
I used to own both. They sound played so similarly I ended up donating the cornet.

Howdy Molly, yes, they indeed sound very similar!The difference is more noticed in the french horn though their share the fingerings

How do you learn, youtube videos?@ethan256 I've learned a recorder when I was 8 and since then played a bunch of other instruments, but then I remembered that I always wanted to play a trumpet. I think I was listening to "The Westerlies", when I finally went and ordered one.
Learning mostly from youtube and lots of practice and experimentation. -

I haven’t found one other than @gijslevelt@ethan256 I don't know if you meant professionally or just any trumpet player, but I play trumpet in a community band, a community orchestra, and a group that does a couple of local parades a year. Plus mellophone in a group that does the regional Pride parade.
I also compose and arrange band music as a hobby; if all goes well my community band will be debuting one of my original pieces later this year!

In the pic, I think its a pocket trumpet if not mistaken... I'd never met one, but having been reading about different instruments!I play both trumpet and cornet, though I am open to learning more wind instruments
