I'm still getting annoyed seeing Black people using generative AI on social media since that technology has been VERY exploitative, particularly regarding the polluting data centers being built in Black communities. This to me shows how our awareness of the tech ecosystem is falling behind because of how systemic racism has been preventing us from being included in discussions and development of IT technologies.I do hope that BIPOC gain more awareness and knowledge of IT so that they can protect themselves from using platforms to the detriment of their own communities.#tech #AI #blackmastodon
